Vietnamese Marinated Lamb Chops
If you’re looking for a recipe that can bring variety to your everyday dinner menu, then this is the dish to try. Vietnamese Marinated Lamb is fairly simple to make though it delivers a range of flavors to the palate. The more time you allow the meat to marinade before actually cooking it, the better it will taste. But, even if you decide to season the chops and cook them immediately, the result will still be delicious.
To get started, you’ll need:
- 4 – 6 Lamb Chops
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 Tbsp Lime Juice
- 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 packet Splenda or 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 2 tsp Chili Powder
- 2 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped finely
- 1 Lemon, cut int wedges
- 2 Tbsp chopped Fresh Parsley
Making the dish:
- Place lamb chops into baking dish
- Season evenly with these dry ingredients – splenda, garlic powder, chili powder, chopped garlic and black pepper
- Pour olive oil, lime juice, and soy sauce across all the chops
- Now, that you’ve created the marinade, you can refrigerate the chops anywhere from 1- 24 hours or use them immediately. The longer they sit in this mix, the more flavor they’ll bring to your dish.
- When ready to cook, preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Bring the lamb to room temperature before placing in oven
- Bake at minimum 20 minutes but no more than 30 minutes for meat to be between medium and well done
- Remove from oven and top with fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice before serviing
To round out this meal, you can serve it with mashed, roasted or baked potatoes and some sort of green that isn’t overly seasoned. This should keep other flavor profiles from taking away from the dish while allowing the lamb to really shine as the star of your meal. Mangia…and enjoy.
