Steak with Parsley Pesto Sauce
This time of year, there’s a lot a grilling that’s happening at our homes. And, a frequent star of these meals or BBQs is the ever-so-popular steak.
If you’re looking for a super-quick way to jazz this protein up a bit or to make something a little different, than try Steak with Parsley Pesto Sauce. It’s so fast to pull together that it’s ready way before your beef is ready to come of the grill.
Plus, what’s even better is that this easy sauce adds a vibrant splash of color and a whole lot of flavor to this common dish. You have to try it!
What You’ll Need For 6-8 Servings:
- A lean steak – seasoned and prepared as you typically would
- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 1 cup fresh parsley
- 2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 3-4 Tbsp Water
- Salt & Pepper to taste
Making Your Pesto Sauce:
- Place garlic, parsley, oil in food processor or blender
- Puree / pulse ingredients together
- Pour in water and pulse until smooth
- Season with Salt & Pepper to Taste
- Serve 1/2 – 1 Tbsp on top of your steak for a burst of flavor
This sauce will add a great deal of brightness and tang to your dish. It goes well alongside a fresh salad – especially those with onions. Feel free to store any leftovers in an air-tight dish in the refrigerator. It’ll keep for several days after its made. Mangia and enjoy.
