Featured Product – Thin ‘n Trim Chicken Sausage
While grocery shopping last weekend, I stumbled on a new product in the deli case: Thin ‘n Trim Chicken Sausages.
Since they were only $2.99 for a pack of 5 chicken sausages, I figured it couldn’t hurt to give them a try. I’m so glad I did for several reasons:
- they’re delicious – flavorful, filling, well-seasoned, great on the grill, seared in a pan or boiled in water
- they have choices – vegetable, spinach & red onion, apple & cinnamon, sweet italian, and spicy italian
- they’re affordable – at about $3 per pack you can’t go wrong
- and they’re nutritious
Nutritional Information Per Serving:
- Serving – 1 sausage
- Calories – 70
- Total Fat – 2.5g
- Fiber – 0g
- WW – 2 pts for one / 3 pts for two
Having cooked them up as-is with a side of mashed & veggies, substituted them in for hot dogs, I’m now looking forward to trying them in a roll smothered with grilled peppers, mushrooms, and onions. The best part is that you can have a couple of these and still come in under most proteins calorie-wise. Nice. Mangia and enjoy.
