What Would You Do with PB2?
As some of you know, I have an obsession with – like many other health & food bloggers – finding healthy, DELICIOUS snacks. I like to be resourceful in tracking them down and then immediately jump on any opportunity to land these new treats into my hands (or more appropriately my mouth).
This time I didnt’ have to search too hard – I got some help from Shanna from ShannaLikeBanana. In a comment exchange about good blog finds, she mentioned coming across PB2 and thinking it’s fantastic.
In checking Bell Plantation’s site to learn more about the product, I found that they offered sample packs of PB2 in regular, chocolate or both. Of course, I went with both – was there even a question?
I was floored to see that this Peanut Butter product in powder form was supposed to taste like PB but have 85% less fat. Here are the nutritional stats per 2 TBSP: 45 calories, 1.5 g fat, 5 g of protein, and 2 g fiber.
I have to admit to being curious about PB2 at this point and of being a tad bit skeptical that this would actually taste as good as peanut butter. When I got the chance to check it out – glad to say that my skepticism went out the window. This stuff is FANTASTIC. And it’s so easy to use.
Check out how I boosted the flavor of some of my favorite snacks.
Sprinkled on a perfectly ripe banana…..yummy.
Plus not pictured…I cooked up the chocolate version in my rice cooker with oats, apples and bananas and drizzled it with agave…..sooo comforting.
