It’s Christmas Eve – Hooray!
I have good news to share with you. We were able to make our way into last night’s holiday party in exchange for our baked goodies. Yes! – we’re so glad it worked.
The party was great. The food – delicious. The company – good. And we walked away victorious from a pretty mean game of Yankee Swap. All in all it was a fun night for sure.
Here’s our Yankee Swap Loot:
Mine..
His……
Considering there were multiple rolls of toilet paper in the game plus a pair of suspenders with fake breast on them…we really can’t complain about our wins ..in fact..we aren’t. LOL J
This morning the hubby and I decided on a Christmas Eve Breakfast treat – pancakes from IHOP (or let’s say he was kind enough to support my pancake addiction). And as a result, we both got to eat some good grub.
My Banana Cakes Before..
After I was done with them..
Mmm…mmm…good.
This doesn’t count towards my 30 Days of Breakfast – even if it is breakfast – since I didn’t make them. I’ll pick up where I left off after the holiday.
I’m pretty excited about our holiday plans. Tonight, we’re having a low key soiree with the in-laws at our house. We’ll be nibbling on some appetizers, following it with a Turkey Pot Pie, Mashed Potatoes, & Rolls, and wrapping up the eating experience with a variety of baked goods. And, the hubby will be making his traditional cocoa from scratch for when we’re sitting and chatting by the fire. Love the stuff…especially with the mini marshmallows. J
Tomorrow, we’re off to my Sister- and Brother-in-Laws house to celebrate with the hubby’s family and my 5 year old niece who is a hoot on any day. Tomorrow is bound to be even better when she sees the stock pile of gifts Santa and the family picked out for her. Fun fun fun.
I’ll be taking a day or two off from posting in honor of the holiday so for those of you who are also celebrating… let me take this time to wish you all a wonderful & safe Christmas with your family and friends. May it be happy, healthy & filled with laughter. See you on the other side.

Hope you had a great Christmas! Those pancakes look yum! I like your idea for 30 Days of Breakfast – it is a meal I am always stuck for ideas, so I just have porridge. I may try a few new things now
